Steve and Eileen Goodwin started Rose City Canopy Company in 1985. After working for a company that installed canopies, Steve followed an opportunity that would open the doors to many successes.

Since that time, Steve and Eileen have continued to add companies to Rose City Inc. When you hire Rose City Inc. to take care of your canopy needs, you have hired a company with professional sign, electrical, and vinyl graphics companies as well. Sign Company

Rose City Sign Company was established in 2005. It was born out of a customer suggestion. "Since you are on site doing everything else – can’t you do the sign work also?" When our customers speak, we listen.

Todd Tolifson, the General Manager of the sign company, started his career in the sign industry on the road crew, during that time Todd worked as a crane operator. After three years on the road crew, Todd became the Installation Foreman and Assistant Manager. He worked in that role for seven years before coming to Rose City Sign Company in 2005 to be the General Manager.

Electric Company

Rose City Electric was established in 2003 to fill the need for electricians for the canopies sold and built by the canopy company. It also fills the needs of the signs designed and installed by the sign company. For both the canopy and sign companies, Rose City Electric eliminates the need for customers to find outside contractors to provide electrical service. The electric company adds value and convenience when you hire our canopy and sign companies. In addition, Rose City Electric can fulfill all electrical needs residential or commercial. We do it all!

Rose City BBQ

Rose City BBQ Sauce is made by Steve Goodwin and his family. Steve grew up in the livestock business. For years, he made barbecue sauce for hog roast parties of his own as well as for family, friends, and neighbors. They all loved it and told him he should be selling it. So, he decided to market the barbecue sauce.

Steve wanted a barbecue sauce that was thick so that it will stay on the meat; but, it will not burn. He also wanted the sauce to be able to be used to marinate meat for slow cooking. The barbecue sauce does not have liquid smoke in it, so it gives a sweet taste with a tang. Not only do people use it on pork and chicken, but they also put it on hamburgers, in sloppy joes, and they even use it on steak. Some use it just like ketchup.

Rose City Bar-B-Cue is located in Rose City, Minnesota. This company is created by and operated by Steve Goodwin along with his daughter and manager, Tania Ruckheim. This company had its official start in January of 2002; however, Steve has been making the BBQ Sauce for over 30 years. Rose City BBQ sauces are found in approximately 70 local grocery stores and dining establishments. We have two distributors and continue to look for opportunities to expand our product.

Vinyl Company

Rose City Graphics Creative was established in 2007. After quickly outgrowing our initial space, we built a new, two-story, 5,580 square foot building in 2010. Our new building is complete with vinyl space, vinyl production area, and a vinyl install bay large enough to decal a semi-truck and trailer!

John Kron is the Art Director and Sales Manager for Rose City Graphics Creative and has worked over 10 years in this industry. John worked one year on the road in the sign company. This road experience further developed the depth and breadth of his knowledge in the imaging industry.
